Manchester-based insolvency practitioner, Bev Budsworth has been shortlisted for ‘Personal Insolvency Practitioner of the Year – Small Firm’ award at this year’s Insolvency & Rescue Awards. This is the second time Bev has made the finals of these awards since she won it in 2008. This is the second time Bev has made the finals of these awards since she won it in 2008. The prestigious accolades aim to honour the insolvency industry’s high achievers and celebrate best practice.

As managing director of The Debt Advisor, Bev has tirelessly campaigned to shape the personal insolvency procedure to make it less draconian and fit for purpose. She is a staunch supporter of a fair rescue culture that is accessible to all. Her membership of the Personal Insolvency Committee and the Debt Resolution Forum, as well as her work with influential industry bodies including the Insolvency Practitioners Association, the Debt Resolution Forum, R3 and DEMSA, allow her to help shape the debt management industry to one that is based on ethics and transparency.

Bev also won the title of Credit Today’s ‘Debt Counsellor of the Year’ in 2008 and The Debt Advisor was shortlisted for the Credit Today Awards in 2011 and 2012. Insolvency Today magazine named her as one of the most powerful and influential people in the insolvency industry, when she was ranked amongst its 2011 ‘Power 100’.

The 2013 Insolvency & Rescue Awards ceremony is described as being the ‘insolvency event of the year’ and will take place on Thursday 3 October at the Lancaster London Hotel.
