A member of staff from Old Trafford-based debt management company, The Debt Advisor, has been shortlisted for ‘Debt Counsellor of the Year’ at this year’s Credit Today awards.

Lucyna Rynkieqicz-Jones an advisory team manager at the firm has made the finals of the awards – the fifth time The Debt Advisor has been shortlisted for the awards since it won in 2008.

Commenting on her shortlist, Lucyna, also from Old Trafford, said: “It’s fantastic to see that the hard work and effort that we all put in at The Debt Advisor continues to be recognised – it’s great to be flying the flag for the company by making the finals of these prestigious awards.

“We’re up against some strong competition with all the industry heavyweights in attendance – we’ve got our fingers firmly crossed and we’re really looking forward to it.”

Managing director, Bev Budsworth added: “It would be hard to imagine a more honest and caring individual than Lucyna. She is passionate about helping people and is extremely well-liked by her colleagues and clients.

“She has played a pivotal role in growing both the domestic and the international aspects of the business and also led the whole compliance process which saw us as one of the first practices in the UK to offer protocol compliant debt management plans.

“Not only has she achieved this with maximum efficiency and minimal fuss, she has done all this while continually managing her team and starting a new family of her own! I wish her all the luck.”

The Credit Today Awards represent the original and most established scheme in the whole credit sector. With 153 finalists across 26 categories, the awards seek to recognise and reward top performers across the entire credit industry from individuals through to SMEs and large corporates.

The 2014 ceremony will take place on Thursday 8th May at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and is expected to attract over 1,500 key figures and professionals from across the industry.
