Commenting on her shortlist, Alexandra, a debt management assistant manager at the  firm, said: “I’m really proud to be representing The Debt Advisor at the finals of these prestigious awards and just hope that I can come away with the prize. Managing director, Bev Budsworth added: “Alex has worked so hard over the past year to get The Debt Advisor ready for Financial Conduct Authority compliance, including ensuring that all our processes in the advisory, debt management and cashiering teams were properly mapped and that everyone knew exactly what was required of them. Compliance was, however, a side task, as her main focus was to develop our ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ culture. Alex has made great strides and achieved stunning results here, ensuring that creditors treat our customers fairly by freezing interest and charges, accepting plans and in certain instances, writing the debt off completely where customer has been poorly treated.

“She seems to have the Midas touch when dealing with customers – turning their problems into solutions. When Alex joined The Debt Advisor last year she remarked upon what a great team we had and how many had previously been nominated and shortlisted for these national awards. I am confident that, given her exceptional talents, Alex will help us win yet another prestigious award this year – one that will be richly deserved.”
