Trafford-based debt management company, The Debt Advisor, has strengthened its personal insolvency and debt management teams with the appointment of two new managers.

Alexandra Zabunyan, 33, from Chorley in Lancashire, has been appointed as debt management manager, responsible for advising clients who are best suited for the new Protocol Compliant Debt Management Plan (P-DMP) and also overseeing Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) compliance and internal procedures.

Alexandra previously spent five years with the Fairpoint Group where she was deputy team leader of the debt management team and developed her compliance skills as well as knowledge of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) guidelines. She also worked for Citizens Advice and has a certificate in Debt Resolution as well as a diploma in Business Administration.

Eileen Law-Pan, 31, from Prescot in Merseyside, has worked at The Debt Advisor since 2006 when she started as an insolvency administrator. Since then, she has steadily risen through the ranks and has recently been appointed as personal insolvency manager to head up the formal insolvency side of the business and manage the firm’s Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) process.

Following her graduation from university with a first class degree in law, Eileen cut her teeth in the insolvency business at Debt Free Direct, also part of the Fairpoint Group. She has Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) and Personal Insolvency (CPPI) as well as an ACCA accreditation in taxation.

Bev Budsworth, managing director of The Debt Advisor said: “Both Alexandra and Eileen have a wealth of experience and an exceptional set of skills that will enhance the business and further increase the experience for all of our customers.

“The appointment of these two roles helps to seal our commitment to providing the full range of debt advice – both formal and informal – and help our clients realise a life free from debt, whatever their individual circumstances.”

Over the years, The Debt Advisor has sought to position itself as a practice that can deal with the most complex of voluntary arrangements for individuals as well as people in partnerships.

Bev concluded: “Alexandra’s significant experience in business process analysis means that our quality control and corporate governance is second to none.

“Similarly, throughout her time at The Debt Advisor, Eileen has been involved in some really complex IVAs, so having this expertise at the head of our IVA team will further strengthen our competency in dealing with technical IVA cases. We aim to be the practice of choice for individuals and professionals struggling with debt as they recognise our significant expertise.”
