Insolvency Administrator – Supervisory

Job Title: Insolvency Administrator – Supervisory – Debt Advisory
Base: Head Office :  Westpoint, 501 Chester Road, Old Trafford,

Manchester, M16 9HU

Reporting to: IVA Manager
Job Purpose: We are looking for an IVA administrator who has experience of post-appointment work. Experience of Pre-appointment work would be helpful as well especially in terms of understanding the due diligence that is needed at the Nominee stage for both consumer and self employed IVA’s. Due to a perceived increase in IVA cases, The Debt Advisor are looking for an experienced IVA administrator to join the IVA team to take over a portfolio of both consumer and self employed IVA cases.
Key Responsibilities: IVA Supervisory Responsibilities

•       Ensure debtors comply fully with the terms of their IVAs.

•       Produce annual reports and documentation as required in a timely manner.

•       Conduct six-month reviews of all cases in a timely manner.

•       Liaise with debtors if they fail to comply with the terms of their IVA, and promptly issue notices of breach as appropriate.

•       Convene and hold variation meetings and failure meetings, and prepare and issue Chairman’s Reports and log minutes of those meetings.

•       Prepare and issue final reports and completion certificates.

•       Deal with queries from debtors, creditors, etc. promptly.

•       Ensure data held on cases is correct and diary set up.

•       Copying, mailing and filing of paperwork as required.

•       Prepare dividend distributions.

•       Maintain diary system and file notes.

•       Liaise with creditors regarding the submission of proofs of debt and adjudicate on claims.

•       Keep up to date with legislation changes affecting personal insolvency.

•       Attend training courses applicable to the role, as and when the need arises.

As a IVA administrator you will be expected to keep up to date with legislation changes affecting personal insolvency, attend training courses applicable to the role, as and when the need arises.

Education and Training: •       Educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent

•       Ideally we are looking for a talented graduate with a relevant degree passed at 2.1 level or above

 

Experience, Skill, Knowledge: •       3 – 5 years’ similar experience

•       Experience of working in an office environment.

•       Ability to use computer systems such as Microsoft Office,

Excel and insolvency-specific computer-based system.
Knowledge of PDMS system would be very beneficial
  Confident telephone manner.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Desire to learn about law and practice surrounding personal insolvency
Effective communicator.
Demonstrate high standard of written work and attention to detail
Ability to troubleshoot and help less experienced members of the team.
Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines and on own initiative
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm, one day each week

11.30am – 8.00pm, total of 37.5 hrs per week
